St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Mission is a mission parish of the
Orthodox Church in America. Priests from the OCA
served in the Bozeman area for over five years before the community received Mission status in 1999. Prior to that, the people either drove two hours to Billings or one hour to Butte for services.
In the summer of 2001, Fr. Peter Tobias came to the mission to serve as its priest.
The Mission has grown to include close to 20 families from various backgrounds, mostly converts. There is also a sizeable student body to draw from Montana State University that has some Russian and eastern European students who are Orthodox.
St. Anthony Orthodox Mission is located at 101-A Spanish Peak Drive (the intersection of Spanish Peak Drive and Shedhorn Drive), in the Four Corners area, west of Bozeman.
