Bozeman,
Montana, sits in the
beautiful Gallatin Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains near the
headwaters of the Missouri River, where the confluence of the Madison,
Jefferson and Gallatin Rivers come together. It became famous as a
stop on the Lewis and Clark expedition as well as a later stop on the Bozeman
trail for wagon trains.
Today, Bozeman is a college
town that hosts Montana State University with an international student
body. There are also farming, ranching, and some light industries in the
region. There has been a huge increase in population in the recent years
as people move into the area to take advantage of numerous outdoor
sports and the western atmosphere. The famous Big Sky ski resort is only
an hour away; Bridger Bowl ski area
is half an hour drive; and Yellowstone National Park is a 90-minute drive. The
Gallatin Valley boasts of some of the best blue ribbon trout streams in
the world and world class hunting.
